Welcome to EMMETT Technique Singapore
What is EMMETT Technique?
The EMMETT Technique is known for its safe, gentle, soft touch and simple application of light finger pressure at specific points called “EMMETT points” and it was first developed on animals. We normally identify EMMETT Technique as a first-aid technique to help relief pain & discomfort through a light touch that can trigger a relaxation response in the soft tissues of the body. Many people who have received EMMETT Technique feels a lot of relief and more
at ease and overall improving their quality of life. For some, their emotional
well-being is enhanced too.
EMMETT Technique is a complementary technique that combines well with other modalities
or specialities such as Chiropractor, Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, Massage therapy, and more. For those with no prior knowledge to the human anatomy or not a health & wellness professional are also welcome to learn EMMETT Technique. Additionally, it can be applied as a stand-alone technique.
How EMMETT Technique works?
The EMMETT Technique is believed to aid in relieving muscle tensions, pain and discomfort by a light application that promotes relaxation of the body. Our body have many sensory receptors (in EMMETT terms it is referred as “EMMETT points”) that communicates with our brain through light touch in order to promote relaxation respond and bring about changes in the soft tissue. These points may affect the muscle movement as it may contain or hold muscle memory & emotional attachments.
